Review | Styling Your Home With Make My Blinds

Words by: Natasha Henson

Since moving into my new home a few years ago, I find I’m always on the lookout for ways to add stylish touches to the interiors. One of the first purchases I made when I moved in was blinds for each window. I love the look of blinds, as I feel they give a room a fresh and tidy finish. Plus they’re perfect for added privacy during the day.

One spot I didn’t plan particularly well was blinds for our french doors. I previously had the ‘office style’ blinds but because I ordered the wrong size, they never really fitted the space properly. As blinds can often be a little pricey, especially for larger windows, I decided to hang fire until I found a style I really liked.

For this space, I was looking for blinds that fit into the window but without the need to screw the frame into the door. While I was searching, I was introduced to the website Make My Blinds.

Make My Blinds as you can tell from the name make blinds to your specification. Affordably too! There is a wide selection of blinds available including vertical blinds, Venetian blinds, skylight blinds, plus many more styles. You can also choose from a range of colours to suit your decor.

Thankfully, they have a range of Perfect Fit blinds that are super easy to install and just clip to the window (no need to ruin the doors with screws!). I have a grey theme running through my interior spaces, so I decided on the Perfect Fit style in Battleship Grey Satin, and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

As you can see from the pictures, these blinds are super easy to install (just make sure you order with the right measurements!). Just a few clicks together and a screwdriver to tighten it up and your blinds are ready to go. Small brackets also slide into the frame, but these are easy to slot in between the beading, and the frame attaches to these with a few clicks.

Ordering from the website is straightforward too. You just need to enter the measurements correctly and choose frame colour, control side and frame depth to get blinds made to your window specification. There is also a handy guide on how to measure your windows here. Plus a fitting guide if you need help when they arrive.

I’m delighted with the results, and would certainly order this style again for any larger windows. They’d look fab in a conservatory or summer house too.
