Makeup Trends We’re Going To See Everywhere in Spring 2020

With spring just around the corner, new season’s trends are already hitting the high street and online stores. It’s not just fashion that is stealing the limelight; makeup is having a moment in the spotlight as well.

The warmer months give us an opportunity to experiment with bold looks and brighter colour palettes, and this spring is set to be all about maximalist vibes.

To help you get started with all the new makeup trends for the season, there is a range of free makeup samples on offer so you can try out new looks without spending a penny.

So take a look at the top makeup trends you’ll be seeing everywhere this spring. Plus, many of them you can rock every day.

Sparkly eyes

If you want to recreate Bella Hadid’s sparkle from the Fendi show, glitter is your new best friend. However, to get the look, don’t go overboard with the sparkle dust. Just pop a little underneath the eye and pair with a dark kohl smudge to create a soft grunge effect.

Classic red lip

No makeup trend list would be complete without a classic red lip making an appearance. This lipstick colour works beautifully whatever the season. But it’s matte look on spring catwalks added cool chic vibes to pretty pastels and dramatic brows.

White liner

The 90s called and they want their eyeliner back! There were strong 90s influences in catwalk collections for spring/summer, and these were reflected in makeup looks too, including bright white liner. To make it current and fresh for 2020, line your lids or create a flick like the models at Pamella Roland’s show for a clean and ultra-cool look.

All the blues

Blue made a significant impact on the catwalk this season, and it comes in both pretty pastel shades and dramatic sapphire tones. Gigi Hadid gave us dreamy pastel glances at the Marc Jacobs show. At the same time, jewel-like vibes reigned supreme at the LaQuan Smith collections.

90s goth chic

Soft grunge trends are making a comeback, and the vampy colours of this palette aren’t reserved for autumn/winter. Dark lipsticks complemented Max Mara’s SS20 runway alongside neutral styling. Plus, with a smokey, glitter eyeshadow, it completes the soft grunge aesthetic perfectly.

Neon pops

Spring is renowned for pretty pastels and delicate palettes. However, this season, the catwalks came alive with neon pops and ombre shades. The cat-eye flick isn’t going anywhere either, and at the Helmut show, models showcased bright liner flicks that matched neon ensembles.

Glitzy embellishments

Although you might not want to sport this look at your local supermarket, it’s still a chic trend that will complement your spring party outfits. It’s pretty simple to pull off, and you just need to check out Anna Sui’s SS20 catwalk looks to get a feel for some starry-eyed style inspiration.

Spring/summer makeup is all about having fun and experimenting with colour and sparkle. Even if you don’t want to go super bold with your daily makeup look, these trends also work perfectly with toned-down shades.
