Great Styles To Adopt When You Have Natural Curls

If you have natural curls, you may lust after straight hair, the sort that so many celebrities wear while looking effortlessly chic. However, the truth is that there are just as many people who are jealous of your natural curls.

It’s time to embrace your natural curls and work with them to create a hairstyle that leaves you looking and feeling fantastic.

There are many options to consider, but for most of them, you’ll find it beneficial to check out these GHD curling tongs and wands.

Keep it short

This doesn’t require curling tongs and requires very little effort to look after. In fact, the short hair cut practically eliminates your curls and allows you to get away with doing very little hair care or styling. But, you do need to keep your hair moisturized regularly to ensure it looks and feels great.

Add mini twists

Another great option is to add mini twists to your hair. This transforms your look but isn’t too extreme. It can also be easily undone and return your hair to normal.

Twisting your hair into strands, a little like braiding, will also help to keep your hair moisturised and reduce the likelihood of damage. Drop the mini curls on each side of your face, and you’ll master the cute look.

Keep it loose

If you have loose curls naturally, then you’ll want to embrace them instead of trying to change styles. A loose curl is easy to style, just run the curling iron through it each morning and add some holding spray. But, remember to keep the spray light as a heavy spray will make your hair heavier, which is likely to loosen your curls too much.

The real advantage of embracing a loose curl is that you can keep your hair maintenance to a minimum, allowing you to spend less time doing your hair and more time networking or enjoying yourself.

Use plenty of moisturisers

The key to looking after your curls is to make sure it stays moisturized. Curly hair is more prone to drying out than other types of hair. That’s why- you need to make sure all the products you use are moisturizing.

In addition, condition regularly and deep condition at least once a week. This will help to keep the moisture locked into your hair.

Go tighter

Another way to embrace your natural curls is to use a curling iron to make the curls even tighter. You’ll need to separate your hair into sections and run the curling iron through each section. The smaller the barrel of the curling iron, the smaller and tighter the curls will be.

By doing this every morning and avoiding touching the warm curls, you’ll end up with much tighter curls that add volume to your hair.

Remember: the bottom line is simple. If you have curly hair, don’t keep trying to change it, instead, embrace your hair and find the style that works for you. It doesn’t have to be what everyone else is doing.
