It continues its influx of celebrity followers from the world of TV, music, sport, entertainment, and fashion. British Soul Legend Omar sent a shout out, apologising for being unable to attend but wished the designers at Fashions Finest all the success. Lizzie Cundy was spotted passing through. TV presenter Gillian McKeith was amongst the celebrity crowd attending along with No5 of the US Billboard single charts, singing sensation Ally Ryan, singer Paul Manners, singer Ian Thomas, TV personality and fighter Alex Reid, Georgia Harrison Chambers Whittle, Boxer Richard Riakporhe, singer Wayne Marshall, singer Tom Beasley, Belgium’s rising stars boyband Fourth Kingdom to name a few.

We were honoured and excited to partner with this coveted fashion event and Chynna Webley from our Brit Style squad went along to give you a snippet of this amazing showcase celebrating upcoming talent.

Fashions Finest SS18 – Day One

Have you ever been to a fashion show? There’s a certain electric buzz in the air and everyone is dressed to the nines, excited for the upcoming event.

Held in De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms, Fashions Finest held their shows over two days showcasing up and coming designers and their collections. Being right at the front and being able to see the designs were astounding and there are really talented designers out there.

Fashions Finest is built on bringing these designers into the spotlight, boasting an array of diversity and ethnicity which is something that is much needed in the fashion industry.

Day 1 flew past in a flurry – a blur of music, colour and talent. The first show I attended displayed collections from Marina Willms, Rose Appleton, Fleur Angelique and Unbridaled Couture.

The collections shown were classic and elegant, clearly showing each designer’s ability –  Marina Willms’ latest collection, ROSE, is inspired by her family history and you can see that reflected in the styles. I particularly loved the colours used and the slight fairytale-esque feel surrounding her pieces.

The day wrapped up with the launch of the Prince’s Trust’s first fashion collective featuring the likes of Babydol Clothing, Quillattire, Vimpelova, ByVarga, War & Drobe, Sheree Robinson Knitwear, Fifth and Rosie Red Corsetry.

From fun festival clothes to help you live your best life from Babydol Clothing to the sleek retro inspired streetwear from Quillattire, all the collections showcased amazing pieces. Culminating in Rosie Red Corsetry’s catwalk which featured two plus-sized models, Olivia Campbell and Georgina Horne, the day was everything I never knew I needed.
