Cardiff Fashion Week – the premier fashion event in Wales will take place from 24 – 30 October 2016
This fabulous event will be a seven day celebration of fashion showcasing the very best design talent of Wales and the retail attraction of the Welsh capital.
A highlight of the week will be the catwalk shows and designer village at Cardiff Masonic Hall on Saturday 29 October. Taking part will be designers from across Wales who will are using the event as a platform to showcase their collections to a UK audience. One of the event’s headline sponsors is Motorline Maserati. Its eye-catching Penarth Road showroom will be the venue for the official Cardiff Fashion Week launch party and opening photoshoot. The University of South Wales will be actively involved in the week demonstrating the work of the university as a hub of fashion design, promotion and retail.
Ty Hafan is the official charity for Cardiff Fashion Week 2016 and there are a number of initiatives in the pipeline to raise funds for the cause. These include a ‘Dress The Boss’ challenge where employees will get the chance to makeover their boss and a ‘Charity Shop Designer Contest’ where aspiring designers will get the opportunity to customise a bag of charity shop clothes which will be auctioned off at the designer village.
The week is being organised by Cardiff PR and events company Vibe in association with The Style Team.
