Jillian Blair’s Guide to Your Best Skin This Autumn
Autumn brings a fresh opportunity to reset your skincare routine. We ask Jillian Blair which facial treatments are worth booking this season to help keep skin hydrated, healthy and glowing through the cooler months.
As the seasons shift, so does our skin – and autumn is the perfect time to rethink your facial routine. Cooler temperatures, changing humidity and the return to central heating can all leave skin feeling dehydrated, dull or out of balance. For A/W 2026, Jillian Blair, facialist and owner of Jillian Blair Skin in Pimlico, shares the facial treatments worth booking now, from skin-renewing peels and resurfacing treatments to hydration-focused and sculpting facials. Her approach is highly personalised, with treatments selected according to what your skin actually needs rather than simply following the latest trend.
How does skin change moving into autumn?
Dryness and sensitivity are often the first things clients notice. As the weather turns, skin can become more reactive and prone to tightness, with clients finding their usual products suddenly feel like too much. Then there’s pigmentation from summer. Sun-induced pigmentation can take weeks to become visible, so autumn is often when clients notice new patches of uneven tone and come in wanting them addressed.
Congestion and breakouts can also become an issue. As clients switch to richer, heavier products for the colder months, some find their skin reacts, particularly if they introduce too much too quickly.
And finally, there’s a drop in radiance. Cell turnover may naturally slow as temperatures drop, which can leave skin looking tired or dull.
So, what are the biggest A/W 2026 facial trends?
One of the biggest shifts is towards combination treatments over one-size-fits-all solutions. Clients are moving away from expecting a single treatment to address every concern, instead favouring more targeted combinations, pairing something like microneedling with exosomes, for example chosen for precision and long-term results rather than an instant, all-in-one fix.
There’s also a move towards preventative treatments used proactively, not just reactively. Rather than waiting until lines or texture become a concern, low-downtime treatments are increasingly being used as seasonal upkeep rather than a reaction to visible ageing. When it comes to exfoliation, the focus is shifting towards controlled exfoliation over aggressive resurfacing, supporting cell turnover while protecting the skin barrier rather than relying on harsher resurfacing methods.

Why is BioRePeel ideal for autumn and what is it?
BioRePeel is a 35% TCA chemical peel that can improve texture and tone without the severe peeling, redness or recovery time associated with more traditional peels, making it ideal when clients don’t want visible downtime. It targets dullness, uneven tone, texture, pigmentation and acne. By encouraging chemical exfoliation of the skin’s surface, it may help lift residual summer pigmentation and reveal brighter, more even-looking skin underneath.
It also supports a compromised barrier rather than stripping it. Unlike more aggressive peels, BioRePeel is formulated to be hydrating alongside its exfoliating action, which suits skin that’s already feeling sensitised during the summer-to-autumn transition. This was a huge hit in my clinic in NYC so it has just become available in my London clinic.
What is liquid microneedling?
Liquid microneedling is a needle-free approach to a familiar concept. Traditional microneedling uses fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin, which may prompt the skin’s natural repair process. Liquid microneedling aims to achieve a similar effect, encouraging renewal and helping actives penetrate more effectively without injuring the skin. The biggest practical difference is the recovery. Traditional microneedling typically causes more trauma, visible redness and requires a recovery period of a few days. This needle-free approach means clients usually leave with minimal redness and downtime.
It reflects a wider shift towards precision over intensity in the treatment room, achieving skin renewal through smarter delivery methods rather than simply relying on the depth of trauma to drive results.
It supports skin that’s transitioning, not just treating a single concern. As skin adjusts from summer stress to colder, drier air, its micro-channel delivery system introduces growth factors, plant stem cells and amino acids directly to the skin’s basal layer, where they may help support the skin’s own renewal processes.
Because the microspears create temporary channels rather than open wounds, there’s minimal redness and little to no recovery time, making it accessible for anyone who can’t accommodate downtime.
Clients can expect gradual improvements in texture, tone and radiance, typically building over a course of treatments as the skin’s own repair processes continue working. The treatment is designed to exfoliate the microspears naturally over the following 72 hours, so results build over the following days rather than only in the treatment room.
I predict this to be the facial everyone is talking about this season.

BioRePeel or Liquid Microneedling: which should you book?
It depends on your skin and what you want to achieve. If dullness, uneven tone and surface texture are the main concerns, BioRePeel’s exfoliating action is often the quicker route to visible results.
For clients with a compromised or reactive barrier, Liquid Microneedling is a lower-trauma approach and may be the more comfortable starting point, with BioRePeel introduced once the barrier is more resilient.
In terms of results, BioRePeel is well suited to surface-level renewal and radiance, while Liquid Microneedling leans towards supporting the skin’s deeper renewal processes over a course of treatments.
The two can also complement each other as part of a wider seasonal treatment plan, though treatment combinations should always be decided following a proper skin assessment.
What is the number one autumn/winter skincare rule?
Prioritise your barrier before anything else.
Before reaching for stronger actives or more intensive treatments, make sure your skin barrier is well supported. A compromised barrier undermines almost everything else you’re trying to achieve. Simplify your routine, layer in a well-formulated moisturiser, and don’t be afraid to cut back actives if your skin is telling you it’s overwhelmed.
