Don’t Miss: London’s Only Taco Festival 2023

London’s only taco festival, The Tacover, is returning to the capital for its second year running this May.

The family-friendly festival, which is taking place on the 6th and 7th of May at Signature Brew in Blackhorse Road, will showcase the UK’s very best taco vendors, including the likes of Homies on Donkeys, winners of the BBC’s Best Takeaway of the year.

The festival is split into four sessions over the two days (10am – 2pm and 3pm – 9pm) so that those of all ages can attend and try the abundance of delicious Mexican-inspired tacos on offer. Bring your furry friends down to as the festival is dog friendly for the day sessions.

Every effort to source the UK’s most authentic taco suppliers and promote Mexican-owned businesses at this year’s festival. Vegan and Halal (18 out of 30 suitable for halal) options are also available for all to enjoy. Most, if not all, tacos will also be gluten-free.

Over the last few years, the UK’s taco scene has boomed, with people understanding more about the Mexican delicacy. From soft shell flaky fish tacos to Birria tacos, a traditional dish from the state of Jalisco which consists of slow cooked meat which has been marinated in an adobo made of vinegar, dried chillies, garlic and herbs and spices before being cooked in a broth.

The Tacover is sponsored by Jarritos, Mexico’s largest soda brand, who will have a dedicated bar bringing an authentic taste of the country to London.
