Exeter is the place to be this summer with a new festival launching in the heart of the city.
Exeter Festival takes place over the weekend of Friday 5th to Sunday 7th July in Devon’s capital city and is set to be a fun-packed celebration of music, food and family activities.
Multi-platinum, chart-topping band The Hoosiers, best known for their singles ‘Worried About Ray’ and Goodbye Mr. A’ will be headlining the three-day event.
The Exeter Festival features affordable and free events over a fun-filled weekend. It all kicks off on the Friday with screenings of the hit Queen flick Bohemian Rhapsody and The Greatest Showman in the beautiful surrounds of Northernhay Gardens.
On Saturday local bands will be showcasing home-grown talent throughout the day, culminating in an energetic fun, pop-filled evening sets from The Hoosiers and the high-energy 10-piece band Joey the Lips, performing Funk, Soul, Blues and Disco.
On Sunday the emphasis switches to the family, with an outdoor screening of Mary Poppins Returns and a community and family day hosted by national comedian and writer Tony Hawks and Radio Exe.
